MY OLDEST IS GRADUATING THIS YEAR!!!!!!! OMG!

Reality is finally starting to set in that my oldest is about to get ready to leave the nest and live on his own.  I have so many mixed emotions that I don't know what to do. I don't even think my husband can understand the feelings that I am having right now.  I am so very proud of him though.  He has made it to his senior year with no issues at all through out his whole  17 years of me raising him.  No drinking, drugs, baby mama drama or anything.  I thank God so much for my little big guy and the joy that he has brought into my life. My life will never be the same when he flies away.

I am in love with this Squooshi Filling Station + New Larger G.O. 8 Pack! I decided to go on a 10 day green smoothie cleanse and this was perfect for that. I was able to make my smoothie first thing in the morning and put them in the pouches. I then put them in the freezer upon getting to work and then took them out after about 30 mins or so so they would be good and cold when I drunk them. Now about the system....Very easy to use. It has a little carrot top that closes the hole off when not in use. There is only one flaw that I have seen with this product. You will need to use the exact amount or else when you remove the pouch you will have a mess like I did this morning. Which of course resulted in me loosing a lot of my smoothie for today. But of course you could just pour the remainder out when you have finished filling the pouch or possibly tilt it back and remove the pouch and then plug the hole with the little carrot top. I love the way these are so easy to clean with the ziploc style opening at the bottom. The ziploc style opening is also good for when you just want to do a quick fill up of the pouch without using the actually station itself. These are also great when making purees for young kids. I will be trying these out this weekend with my 3 and 8 year old when we go out. I can do at least 2 for both of them as well as me along with a sandwich or something meaning no more stops at a fast food joint while I am out. It will definitely be a healthy snack as well as fulfilling. It comes with 8 pouches which is a huge plus because I fill up 3 every morning. The perfect amount is in it so that makes sure that I control my portions. I would definitely buy this product again.

I bought this Teatox Life Tea so that I could do a good colon cleanse.   Lets say purchasing this was a very very bad idea.  To start off lets talk about this product and what it is suppose to do in general. The Teatox life Colon Cleanse Blend contains psyllium husk, which is very high in vixcous soluble filber. It attracts a lot of water to itself and forms a slippery gel as soon as it's exposed to water. Which makes it very popular as a digestive lubricant for treating constipation and maintaining regular bowel movements.  Flax seeds is also included in this powder which excellent for cleansing.  It also absorbs water and expands as it passes through the colon acting like a scrub brush on the colon walls.  It is rich in ALA which has anti-inflammatory properties and helps to relieve irritable bowel syndrome.  Rhubarb which is also included in this tea powder.  Rhubarb cures diarrhea by removing the cause of irritation within the intestine and then applies an astringent action to the intestine to suppress the diarrhea activity.  Ginger which I love is also an ingredient in the tea powder.  Ginger is used in many cleansing programs as it stimulate digestion, circulation and sweating.  Licorice is another ingredient included.  Licorice is an antioxidant and used for many ailments. It is known to be very good for digestion and healing for the stomach.  It helps reduce stomach acid and increases mucus secretion in the gastric tract, soothing irritation and inflammation.  Last but not least bentonite clay (food grade)  is included which absorbs and draws toxic substances.  Various toxins drawn by clay are pathogenic viruss, herbicides, heavy metals, pesticides, radio active substances, and parasites.  Ok so off  of everything that is included in this tea. It is recommended to use 3-4 grams of this powder per day to relieve constipation.  The directions state that you can mix this in juice, smoothies, or make as a tea.  It is also suppose to suppress your appetite, remove toxins and colon waste, help clear bowels, and support colon health.   My plans was to make this as a tea because it is suppose to be a TEA and from TEATOX LIFE.  So when I got this powder I was very excited and went ahead and mixed it quickly with apple juice one night.  It was very chunky but had no bad taste.  So all in all it was O....kay but not something I would put in my juice again.  Next night wanted to try it as a tea since I had more time on my hands.  I put 1 teaspoon in my mug and poured about 6oz of hot water so I could enjoy a nice detox tea.  Well first when I started stirring it I noticed that it was still clumping up.  So I tried to press it out with the spoon.  That didn't do much.  Then I said ahha!! I will use my nutri bullet to blend it very well.  That was the worst decision I could have made. It made it look like a thick gooey mess.  I was definitely not going to drink that so I poured it out.  

So using it for the purpose that I intended to which was for a tea was completely thrown out of the window.  I may try it once more with a smoothie but after that it may just go to the trash.  I will definitely never buy this product again.  This was not a TEA at all but in fact a powder that is chunky and does not mix to well.

One Dish Pasta Taco Chili

So I had a taste for tacos and chili last night.  So I warped up this amazing dish. And just a for a better understanding of how I write recipes.... I play around with recipes to my taste so you may not see me always put the exact amount I use because I just keep adding sometimes until it meets my taste.  So I will put around the amount I use and you can subtract from that or add to it to meet your taste.  When it comes to cans I will usually use the terminology  extra small (xs), small (sm), medium (med), large (l), and extra large (xl).  The xs can is usually around 8 oz, the sm is usually around 15 oz,  the med is usually around 28 oz, the large is usually around 55 oz, and the xl is usually 6lb and 10 oz.

3lb Ground hamburger

1 sm can chili beans

1 sm can and a 1/2 of salsa

1 med can crushed tomatoes

3 packs of taco seasoning

2 cups beef broth

32 oz box of noodles (rotini, elbows, shells, etc...)

1.5 cup Mexican cheese ( or any cheese of your choice)

Guacamole

Sour Cream

Green Onions (chopped)

1) Season and brown your hamburger any way you like. 

2) Then you will add the taco seasonings, beans, salsa, tomatoes, beef broth and stir this all together in a large pot or electric skillet and let it simmer for a bout a good 20 minutes or so.  

3) While you are doing this you will be cooking your noodles and you can follow the boxes directions on this or cook it a al dente.  

4) Once Noodles are finished you will add them to your pot or skillet.  And stir and then add the cheese.  You will let this simmer for about 15 minutes or so.  

Serving

5)Taco chili in a bowl, and top with guacamole, sour cream, and green onions.

I had been wanting a case like this for a long time but I was not getting ready to push out the 70+ dollars it cost for a life proof case.  When I saw the price on this case I was in ahhhh!! I definitely wanted to try it out to see if it could match up to the great reviews of the life proof case. I got this from my favorite place to shop.....Amazon of course.  After putting it on my phone and using it this weekend I must admit it lives up to.  I tested the case first to make sure that water did not get in it and to my surprise no water got into the case.  So that was definitely an A+.  Then I checked to make sure that I was able to use the touch screen with the screen protector that is made into the case.  Yes!! I could so another A+ there.  Then it came down to make sure the cords could fit securely in the ports while the case was on the phone. The case also passed this test as well.  The headphone port is covered up by a twisted seal.  Meaning you have have a little lid that you can twist open in order to insert your headphones into the port.  This is cool because it makes sure no water, dirt, etc get into the case. There is a cable that comes with this case that you put inside of the headphone port and attach to your headphones since the port is so deep within the case.  So that made it awesome b/c I know I have a time trying to put my headphones into my phones when I am driving and this makes it so much easier.  There is also a cleaning cloth that comes with it to get rid of smudges that you may get on the screen protector which is a great microfiber cloth.  All in all this is an excellent case.  My favorite feature is the knob that it has on the left hand side that allows you to silence the ringer.  With all of my other cases I have to literally use my finger nail to switch this button off or on.  With this case you just turn a knob and it turns the silencer on or off.The door that covers the charging port on the phone is very tight and made me feel like I was going to break it but I did not thank God and it just shows that it is really protecting the phone.  I have dropped this phone and the case doesn't even loosen one bit. Definitely in love with this case.  The only thing that would make it completely perfect is a stand.

So........... I tried the sushi bowl on Friday as I told you guys that I would and OMG!!! it came out perfect.  The family loved it so much so guess what we are having tonight????? Yep another sushi bowl.  The meats that we included where shrimp, ahi tuna, and crab meat.  We added avocado, green onions, carrots, nori, and toasted sesame seeds.  I made some Japanese mayo and had some white sauce and soy sauce to top.  I realized after putting these together that we were out of Wasabi sauce.  My feelings were crushed but I will be getting some after work for our bowls tonight. I will also add some smoked salmon.  It is only 10:50 am and my mouth is already watering.
