I bought this Teatox Life Tea so that I could do a good colon cleanse.   Lets say purchasing this was a very very bad idea.  To start off lets talk about this product and what it is suppose to do in general. The Teatox life Colon Cleanse Blend contains psyllium husk, which is very high in vixcous soluble filber. It attracts a lot of water to itself and forms a slippery gel as soon as it's exposed to water. Which makes it very popular as a digestive lubricant for treating constipation and maintaining regular bowel movements.  Flax seeds is also included in this powder which excellent for cleansing.  It also absorbs water and expands as it passes through the colon acting like a scrub brush on the colon walls.  It is rich in ALA which has anti-inflammatory properties and helps to relieve irritable bowel syndrome.  Rhubarb which is also included in this tea powder.  Rhubarb cures diarrhea by removing the cause of irritation within the intestine and then applies an astringent action to the intestine to suppress the diarrhea activity.  Ginger which I love is also an ingredient in the tea powder.  Ginger is used in many cleansing programs as it stimulate digestion, circulation and sweating.  Licorice is another ingredient included.  Licorice is an antioxidant and used for many ailments. It is known to be very good for digestion and healing for the stomach.  It helps reduce stomach acid and increases mucus secretion in the gastric tract, soothing irritation and inflammation.  Last but not least bentonite clay (food grade)  is included which absorbs and draws toxic substances.  Various toxins drawn by clay are pathogenic viruss, herbicides, heavy metals, pesticides, radio active substances, and parasites.  Ok so off  of everything that is included in this tea. It is recommended to use 3-4 grams of this powder per day to relieve constipation.  The directions state that you can mix this in juice, smoothies, or make as a tea.  It is also suppose to suppress your appetite, remove toxins and colon waste, help clear bowels, and support colon health.   My plans was to make this as a tea because it is suppose to be a TEA and from TEATOX LIFE.  So when I got this powder I was very excited and went ahead and mixed it quickly with apple juice one night.  It was very chunky but had no bad taste.  So all in all it was O....kay but not something I would put in my juice again.  Next night wanted to try it as a tea since I had more time on my hands.  I put 1 teaspoon in my mug and poured about 6oz of hot water so I could enjoy a nice detox tea.  Well first when I started stirring it I noticed that it was still clumping up.  So I tried to press it out with the spoon.  That didn't do much.  Then I said ahha!! I will use my nutri bullet to blend it very well.  That was the worst decision I could have made. It made it look like a thick gooey mess.  I was definitely not going to drink that so I poured it out.  

So using it for the purpose that I intended to which was for a tea was completely thrown out of the window.  I may try it once more with a smoothie but after that it may just go to the trash.  I will definitely never buy this product again.  This was not a TEA at all but in fact a powder that is chunky and does not mix to well.
