Wedding Bridal Rhinestone Spiral Hairpins

So I finally had the pleasure of trying out these Spiral Hairpins today.  These pins are so adorable.  I put my daughters hair up in a bun and then twisted these into her African American hair.  They were  so cute but eventually I start to see the whole spiral part surface to the top.  I went over and twisted it down just a little bit more into her hair and again they were showing up back at the top of her hair.  I may try these again with a different style or when her hair is blown out. I may even possibly try these in my hair since we do have two different hair types.  If I can get these to stay in my hair I would definitely recommend these because they are very cute but only if the metal twist part of the hairpin is not exposed.  I did some pics that someone had posted and you could visibly see the spiral part of the hairpin.  This is not the way it should look if it is securely in place within your hair.  If the spiral is exposed it does not do your hair style any kind of justice. Some ideas could possibly be hairspray after adding them to the hair???   If you have some additional ideas to try please let me now by commenting below.
